Family Date Night

Since none of us has posted in quite a while...

Last Friday, we had a Family Date night. Normally, Friday is our date night for just us & we leave the kiddos with my mom & dad. We didn't really have a great FHE that week, so we decided to make our date night into FHE. Kind of :) We came up with some really fun games to play at home with things we already had around.
  • Bean bag toss- I labeled different sized boxes, from a stacking Christmas box set, with different point amounts and placed the boxes in different places for us to toss the bags into. The kids got a kick out of that one!
  • Mini Golf- we used old wrapping paper tubes & a soft ball to hit into the boxes from earlier, turned on their sides.
  • Mini Bowling- we got the kids a mini bowling set a couple of years ago, but haven't really played with it all that often, so we finally did! You could easily make a bowling game with water bottles & a small ball to roll at them :)
We had a few other things as back up, but those few games actually took up quite a bit of time. Especially with a 5, 4 & almost 1 year old! Sara really didn't play much, but she did cheer the rest of us on really well, with lots of "wooow" 's and "yaaaay" 's.

That was about it. But it was really fun & we got to spend some serious quality time as a family!
